Dallas Property Operations

Since joining Central Management, Inc./CMI Brokerage in 2002, Ms. Echard has been promoted to Vice President/Dallas Property Operations for the firm. She came on board at CMI as Project Manager/Business Development in the Dallas office. Ms. Echard is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the firm’s Dallas portfolio. In addition, she handles leasing and brokerage transactions and business development.

Prior to joining CMI, Ms. Echard served as the Director of Operations for a private development group of national and international investors. For over ten years, Ms. Echard was responsible for leasing and managing the developer’s Dallas portfolio of commercial, industrial and multi-family properties which encompassed land and buildings containing 40 acres of contiguous land and building comprising over a million square feet in the CBD. Additionally, she assisted in the marketing and development negotiations for new mixed-use, retail, office, multi-family, and institutional uses at the sites. Ms. Echard performed due diligence and financial analysis on the real estate and other investments, including stock programs and oil & gas ventures. Within a year of being hired at the firm, she increased occupancy by 80%, increased collection of delinquencies and was able to provide positive cash flow for the investors – in addition to maintaining occupancy of 80% to 100% for the remainder of the holding period.

Prior to the development firm, Ms. Echard served in the Acquisitions Departments at both The Lehndorff Group USA and at The Harbord Group. She participated and assisted in the due diligence, financial analysis and acquisition of hundreds of millions of dollars of office and retail projects for both Lehndorff’s and Harbord’s worldwide and pension fund clientele. Her early experience in the real estate industry included both office and property management, commercial interior construction and assistance with the marketing and development of condominium projects in the University of Texas area of Austin.

Ms. Echard is a licensed Broker by the Texas Real Estate Commission and is also certified as an Instructor for TREC. She is a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Ms. Echard has served on the Central Dallas Association/Dallas Improvement District’s Housing Committee, CREW Sponsorships Committee, CREW University Outreach Committee, as well as having been an Affiliate Member and Co-Chairperson of the BOMA Silent Auction Committee. Ms. Echard is bonded Notary Public. She is an alumnus of St. Edward’s and Sul Ross State Universities. Ms. Echard has been elected to and served two three-year terms on the Board of Directors of a local church as well as being on the school board of its private Montessori School. She has had the pleasure of being elected to serve as a voting delegate in six of the last seven Diocesan Conventions. Ms. Echard is serving her third as President of the S.C. Chapter of The Daughters of the King and has also previously served as V.P. of the Chapter. She is a member of the Outreach Committee and a volunteer of other charitable organizations. In the past, Ms. Echard served on the Board of Directors for a local consulting firm. She was active in college being elected Vice President of her freshman class and was also a member of the Rho Epsilon Real Estate Fraternity.
