Mr. Vacek has a real estate background dating from 1969 when he was a member of the Vantage organization, where he was responsible for commercial property management. He managed over 1,600,000 square feet of retail/service area and over 2,000,000 square feet of industrial space.

In 1977 he became President and General Manager of the Houston division of Mckinney and Company, a Pittsburgh based real estate firm. His responsibilities at that time included the supervision of all retail and on-site personnel, the preparation of annual budgets, account payable, the monthly income and expense statements for all property owners, and the negotiation of serve contracts (including those concerning major renovations.)

In 1978 he founded Central Management, Inc. (CMI) to provide the highest possible level of professional real estate management and brokerage services to the real estate industry.

  • Member of the local chapter of IREM (institute of Real Estate Management) since 1970
  • Received his CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation in 1975
  • Active on several committees; elected president of the Houston chapter in 1982
  • Recipient of the Manager of the Year award in 1982
  • Houston Apartment Association (HAA) Recipient of Supervisor of Year award in 1985
  • Past Governor Councilor 1984-1988 and 1996-1998
  • Served as a Chairman on the AMO File Review Board for IREM National in 1995 and 1996; Vice Division Director of the Communication Division, and has served on many other national committees
  • Served as Wallis State Bank Board Member 1998-2000
  • Served as President for the Houston Apartment Association (HAA) in 1999
  • Served on the Committee Investment Board for Houston Apartment Association (HAA)
  • Currently serves as an elected member of the IREM Foundation Board
  • Served as Sterling Bank Advisory Business Board 1998-2000
  • Served as Vice President IREM Multifamily 2008
  • Serves as Chairman of St. Bartholomew’s Finance Committee 1995- present
  • Serves as Building Committee Chairman for New Religious Education Building 2007- present
